Reset Firefox preferences to troubleshoot and fix problems

We face many Firefox issues and most of the problems can be easily fixed by resetting preferences like zoom, tabs, privacy, network, encryption, download actions, etc. Resetting Firefox is very simple in the latest version of Firefox. Now you can restore Firefox to its factory default state while saving your important information. It can fix your issue of Firefox not responding as well.

Note:- Before following the steps below, I do not recommend you doing this unless you are comfortable editing the Computer Settings. Now you can follow these steps:-
Open Firefox

Now click the firefox window at the top of the Firefox, click the Firefox button.

You will find a help sub-menu

Now click the Help menu from the Firefox window and select Troubleshooting Information.

Now you should click the Reset Firefox button in the Troubleshooting Information page.

A confirmation window will appear and you have to click on the reset firefox

Firefox will close and be reset. When it's done, a window will list the information that was imported. Click Finish and Firefox will open.

One thing you must remember while applying above steps that when you use reset feature, your bookmarks, browsing history, passwords, cookies and auto-fill information will be saved.
